From Day One April 13, 2008

The first day that you find out that you’re pregnant, it becomes your responsibility to take care of your child for the rest of your and/or her/his life.  Whew..that’s a heavy commitment!  But the most important responsibility you will ever take on in your life ~ the most painful and the most rewarding.

While I was doing research for this blog to see if there was a need ~ I almost didn’t start writing because there are many other parenting blogs, etc… that have great ideas and have interesting discussions and I thought, “who’s gonna want to read what I have to say when I’m just learning myself!?”  The answer is that everyone is learning when it comes to parenting and everything else in life!  Why not write then!  I’ve got a lot to say.

The final decision was made when I ran across a blog (that I will not mention) and it was giving instructions on how to beat your child.  It disgusted me.  The news on what people do to theirs and other people’s children disgusts me.  So, for every unreal ~ ugly ~ WRONG ~ immoral story or blog about parenting…I would love to see a thousand counteract it.  This will be one to counteract.

This will not be a politically correct blog.  I will say what is on my mind…share what I think is right and try to combat the ugliness by sharing the beauty that can be and that IS!
